Promoted by the Real Irmandade da Rainha Santa Mafalda of Arouca, and held on October 14th, a public tribute to Prof. Dr.Arnaldo Pinho, Chairman of that institution since 1988. Besides Chairman of this centennial Institution, Dr. Arnold , who has recently retired, is also Chairman of the Chapter of the Cathedral of Porto and was Professor at the Faculty of Theology of the CatholicUniversity. The first part of this tribute was held in the church of the Monastery of Arouca, with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided by the Auxiliary Bishop of Porto, D. João Lavrador. After lunch,which gathered around 160 people, a solemn session of tribute was held in the large refectory of the Monastery of Arouca. This session ended with a tribute concert in the Nun´s Choir of the Monastery of Arouca, performed by Orfeão de Arouca and accompanied by Nicolas Roger on the Iberian Organ and the Metals Group of the Musical Band of Arouca.
